Shogaku Shunryu Suzuki-roshi (1904-1971), founding abbot of Tassajara Zen Center.

“Sit quietly and pay attention to your breathing. Focus your attention on the sound and movement of your breath, without controlling your breath. Thoughts of other things will come along; acknowledge them, but do not invite them in to tea.”
